WentWear is small start-up based in Dublin, Ireland.
We are Karen, (a primary school teacher) and Michael (a service technician) and like a lot of other businesses, we developed our product as we could not buy what we needed. In WentWear’s case, I (Michael) started to build a school garden in our children's primary school. Due to my work shift pattern, I’d work on the garden when I could and when the weather allowed, which was often during school time.
I needed work / gardening clothes and as I couldn’t get changed into traditional work trousers in a Primary School garden, I got out my sewing machine and made the first ‘Elliam’ prototype. Over the following months, the design was refined and improved until the current version was developed.
It's taken a while, a lot of stops and starts, indecision, second guessing and 2 patent applications but finally we have the first delivery of the 'Elliam'
Over the coming months we plan on expanding our range of Workwear and Aprons to include more designs and range of fabrics.
